Get Outside and Enjoy Hawaii at Aloha on Rails

Aloha!

Sure, Waikiki has amazing beaches, gentle surfing waves, great restaurants and massive shopping. To get the full experience of Hawaii, though, you’ll want to get out and explore Oahu and the outer islands. We’ve put together a list of favorite activities to help you make the most out of your trip. Whether you want to lounge by the pool all day or go on waterfall hikes, there’s something for everyone.

We also found a great list of activities and site for each island. This list is put together for a tour of the Hawaiian islands for a group of prominent bloggers, dubbed a Social Media Tour.

Questions on how to get the most out of your Hawaii travels? Don’t hesitate to ask via the comments or by sending us an email, or contact our travel partners.

Aloha!

Our good friend, and fellow Hawaii Rails developer Matt Williams, has located a great hotel option for all visiting attendees for Aloha on Rails, the Hawaii Ruby on Rails Conference. Quoting Matt’s tweet:

Attn @alohaonrails attendees, was at Sands Villa Hotel last week, $72/night. Walking distance, not dumpy, & free wifi http://bit.ly/iPChH

While we don’t doubt that our Official Travel Partners have it all covered, we never stop searching for great deals for hotel and airfare.

We hope you’ll agree, Aloha on Rails is the best valued Career Investment, Education, and Vacation you’ll find out there!

Amazing Waikiki Hotel Deal, 4 Star for $79/night

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Once your register for Aloha on Rails, you’ll probably need to find a hotel. One benefit of the economic downturn is that attendees to Aloha on Rails will be able to book some amazing hotel and airline deals.

For instance, we just found evidence of a 4 star Waikiki Hotel, the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki, for a mere $79/night! Thanks to Beat of Hawaii for the heads up.

Granted, the Prince is 1.6 miles walking distance from the Conference venue (the Marriott Waikiki), but the weather is almost always perfect and a morning stroll past the beaches is a great way to start your day.

Regardless of where you’d like to stay for the conference, I hope this shows that getting a good deal for a Waikiki hotel room is possible. There are plenty of options in the area, and we’ll pass along any good deals when we find them. You’ll almost certainly find a good deal on a hotel room closer, or at, the Marriott Waikiki.

If you find a good deal for the conference, let us know and we’ll pass it along!

See you at Aloha on Rails!
